A Model of IPv6/IPv4 Dual Stack Internet Access Service (v04)
Description: This memo shows an example of how to provide IPv6 / IPv4 dual stack services to home users. In order to simplify user setup, these services should have a mechanism to configure IPv6 specific parameters automatically. We focus on two basic parameters, the prefix assigned to the user and the addresses of IPv6 DNS servers, and specify the way to deliver them to Customer Premises Equipments (CPE) automatically. This memo is a digest of the user network interface specification of NTT communications' dual stack ADSL access service.

Intra-Site Automatic Tunnel Addressing Protocol (ISATAP) (v24)
Description: The Intra-Site Automatic Tunnel Addressing Protocol (ISATAP) connects IPv6 hosts/routers over IPv4 networks. ISATAP views the IPv4 network as a link layer for IPv6 and views other nodes on the network as potential IPv6 hosts/routers. ISATAP supports an automatic tunneling abstraction similar to the Non-Broadcast Multiple Access (NBMA) model.

Teredo: Tunneling IPv6 over UDP through NATs (v04)
Description: We propose here a service that enables nodes located behind one or more IPv4 NATs to obtain IPv6 connectivity by tunneling packets over UDP; we call this the Teredo service. Running the service requires the help of "Teredo servers" and "Teredo relays"; the Teredo servers are stateless, and only have to manage a small fraction of the traffic between Teredo clients; the Teredo relays act as IPv6 routers between the Teredo service and the "native" IPv6 Internet; the relays can also provide interoperability with hosts using other transition mechanisms such as "6to4".

Connecting IPv6 Islands across IPv4 Clouds with BGP (v04)
Description: This document explains how to interconnect IPv6 islands over a Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS)-enabled IPv4 cloud. This approach relies on IPv6 Provider Edge routers (6PE) which are Dual Stack in order to connect to IPv6 islands and to the MPLS core which is only required to run IPv4 MPLS. The 6PE routers exchange the IPv6 reachability information transparently over the core using the Multi-Protocol Border Gateway Protocol (MP-BGP) over IPv4. In doing so, the BGP Next Hop field is used to convey the IPv4 address of the 6PE router so that dynamically established IPv4-signaled MPLS Label Switched Paths (LSPs) can be used without explicit tunnel configuration.

Tunneling IPv6 with private IPv4 addresses behind NAT devices (v02)
Description: The growth of IPv6 networks started mainly using the transport facilities offered by the current Internet. This led to the development of several techniques to manage IPv6 over IPv4 tunnels. However, classic tunneling methods do not work when the IPv6 candidate node is isolated behind a Network Address Translator (NAT) device. We propose here a service, called Silkroad, to enable nodes located behind one or several IPv4 NATs to obtain IPv6 connectivity. It can provide IPv6 connectivity through all existing NAT types and does not require any update of them. In addition, Silkroad could provide managed IPv6 prefixes with path optimized routing directly between clients.

Goals for Tunneling Configuration (v00)
Description: This memo describes the set of goals for a tunneling setup protocol that could be used in several network cases to jumpstart its IPv6 offering to its customers by providing them IPv6 connectivity through a simplistic tunneling mechanism. The basic network cases, which may have different sets of goals, are also introduced, including 3GPP and other Service Providers. Two cases are analyzed in the Service Provider scenario, one which apply to simplistic mechanism where the user is already authenticated by other network existing means, and another which also takes care of the user authentication.

Scalable NAT-PT Solution (v00)
Description: This document provides scalability extension to NAT-PT. The extension is based on the use of DNS-ALG and exchange of load metrics amongst a cluster of NAT-PT devices. We refer such a NAT-PT device as mNAT-PT. mNAT-PT is valuable in connecting large V6 domains to legacy V4 domain.
